My name is Kaylee Vallery. My entire life has revolved around animals in some shape or form. From pigs, horses, and chickens, to dogs, cats, and even hedgehogs, animals of all kinds have been a huge part of my life.
My first experience with grooming dogs was when I was 17 years old. My parent's farm dog needed a shave down for the summer so the task fell to me. That was the first time I put clippers on a dog.
I attended college at NCTA and earned my associate's in Animal sciences. I took a great interest in animal nutrition. From there I went on to get my bachelor's in Animal Science and Applied Science.
Throughout my college life, I found myself working with animals, and dogs most importantly. I worked for a while as a doggie daycare attendant and found ways to incorporate the training I was doing with my first dog into other jobs.
During my first year out of college, I decided to try my luck at becoming a fully certified groomer. From that first day in the salon, I knew I had found my passion. Grooming has quickly become one of the best decisions I have ever made.
I originally worked for a corporate salon where I gained the majority of my training. After a couple of years with them, I decided I wanted to try working for myself. Though I greatly miss all of my consistent clients from those salons, I knew I was ready to start my journey.
Thank you for joining me on this journey and I can't wait to meet you and your amazing pups!
